Night shift massage in Amsterdam, for a body that works while the city sleeps

If your working day ends when the rest of the city starts, the words evening and morning stop meaning much. A night shift massage in Amsterdam is booked against your clock rather than the building's, and the rate is the same whichever way round your day runs.

The people this page is for

Some work is done while everyone else is asleep. Hospital shifts, hotel nights, airport ground work, security, kitchens closing down, drivers, the long unsociable end of finance when the other hemisphere is trading. People doing that work do not want a massage late at night; late at night is the middle of their working day. They want one when they get in, which happens to be seven in the morning, or before they go out, which happens to be nine at night. Both are ordinary bookings here and neither needs explaining.

Night shift massage in Amsterdam, booked against your own clock

The house keeps no office hours to schedule around, so there is nothing to work with except the times you name. Write the hour you want in Amsterdam time and say plainly which end of your day it belongs to, because it changes the advice you get back. A session before a shift wants to leave you loose and alert. A session after one wants to take you down towards sleep. Those are opposite briefs and they suit different formats, different lengths and different pressure, so the sentence that names which is worth more than any other detail in the message.

Coming off a shift at seven in the morning

A body finishing a night shift is tired in an odd way: worn out and wide awake at once, still carrying whatever the shift held. What works is slow and warm rather than deep. An hour or ninety minutes of warm oil work, curtains closed against a morning that has already started, is the booking that most often ends in actual sleep afterwards. Book it to start within an hour or so of getting in rather than after a long wait, because the window between finishing and going under is narrow, and once it closes the day tends to get away from you entirely.

Going into a shift at nine at night

The other direction wants a different session. Before a working night, the aim is loose shoulders and a clear head rather than the beginnings of sleep, so an hour is usually the right length and heavy work is usually a mistake. Say in the message what time you have to leave and treat that as a hard edge; a session that ends with a scramble for a tram has cost you more than it gave. Guests on this pattern tend to book the same slot repeatedly, because a fixed hour before a shift is easier to keep than one arranged fresh each week.

Sleeping in daylight, and what the room needs

Anyone living on inverted hours already knows the daytime sleep problem, and the room matters more than usual. Curtains closed properly, including the gap they never quite close, before she arrives rather than after. A single lamp on and the ceiling light off. Phone face down and on silent, since a daytime phone is a busier object than a night one. Heating up a degree or two, because a room that feels fine at eight in the morning is cold by ten when you are lying still. She brings her own towels and oils, so nothing else is asked of the room.

Length, and the sleep that follows it

One hour at 180 euros is the common booking on both sides of a shift. Ninety minutes at 270 suits the end of a run of nights, when the next thing on the calendar is a day off rather than another shift. Two hours at 360 is a rest day booking. The eight hour block at 1,250 turns up on the last night of a rotation, when somebody has decided to spend the changeover awake and in company rather than lying in the dark waiting for a body clock to swing back round. All four are placed wherever in the twenty-four hours you need them.

The same hour, every week

People on a fixed rota tend to book the same slot repeatedly, and it is the easiest kind of booking to keep. A standing hour before a Thursday shift, or after the last night of a run, is arranged the same way as any other: written, with the hour named in Amsterdam time. What changes is that the therapist you asked for last time is more likely to be free for the same hour again, because a slot that repeats is one she can plan her own week around. Anything booked more than a day ahead carries the deposit of half the fee, so a standing arrangement is confirmed the same way each time rather than on a running account, and each booking is separate from the one before it.

Rest days, when the session is not attached to a shift

The third kind of booking from shift workers is the one on a day off, and it is a different brief again. Nothing has to be protected at either end, so the length opens up: two hours at 360 euros, three at 540, or the eight hour block at 1,250 for a guest who wants a night that is properly his own for once. These are the bookings where the slower formats earn their keep, since there is no shift to be alert for afterwards and no sleep to be defended. Say in the message that it is a rest day rather than a working one, because the advice you get back about length and format changes completely depending on which side of the rota the session sits.

The terms, which do not care what shift you work

The rate is the same at every hour in every direction: nothing is added for a session at seven in the morning, nothing for a Sunday, nothing for the journey inside the ring. Half the fee confirms a first booking, any overnight, any booking with two therapists, anything of three hours or more and anything arranged more than a day ahead, sent by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto. A returning guest booking an hour or two on the same day settles it all on arrival. Everyone in the room is twenty-one or over, the session happens in a room you have booked yourself, and the therapist states her own limits at the start. The about page explains how the house is arranged.
